Built more than 450 years ago, Redford Farmhouse is a unique large self-catering property that sleeps 10 guests. Beautifully restored, the house is full of history and quiet character, and blends the charm of a historic English farmhouse — with inglenook fireplaces, mullion windows and exposed beams — alongside the comforts of a thoughtfully designed rural retreat, perfect for family gatherings, celebrations and relaxed weekend escapes.

Full of warmth, character and timeless appeal, Redford Farmhouse is a unique luxury holiday cottage and rural barn stay in the heart of the Shropshire countryside. The house went through a huge restoration 15 years ago that included insulated the roof and walls with sheep’s wool and wood fibre board - allowing the house to breathe through all seasons creating a gorgeous natural feel to the building. A welcoming sitting room forms the heart of Redford Farmhouse, featuring a grand inglenook fireplace and wood-burning stove ideal for cosy countryside breaks. The generous open-plan kitchen and dining area is perfectly designed for self-catering holidays, large group stays and family getaways. Double doors open onto a private courtyard with an outdoor kitchen, covered seating, open fire, Kamado Joe BBQ and bar — perfect for long summer evenings, alfresco dining and private events.

Upstairs, peaceful king and super-king bedrooms offer sweeping views across the Shropshire Hills, making it an excellent choice for luxury group accommodation, family reunions and dog-friendly breaks near Ludlow. Original farmhouse features such as mullion windows, exposed beams and a Victorian bread oven celebrate the property’s 450-year history and add historic charm to a boutique country escape.

    A romantic Garret room with west facing leaded light window with high views over the farm.

    Another more spacious Garrett room with characterful sloping floors. This lovely light room enjoys the most beautiful sunrises.

GOOD TO KNOW

Guests are invited to check in any time after 5 pm by following our simple check-in process.

  • Self Check-in - A key will be left in the key safe upon arrival, and a code will be sent to you 24 hrs before your arrival.

    Early Check-in - Whilst we cannot guarantee an early check-in, please let us know at the time of booking and we’ll do our best to accommodate an earlier check-in time where possible.

  • We usually operate a minimum three-night stay for the Farmhouse and Barns, however during our first launch year we’re pleased to offer selected two-night stays.

    If you’re hoping to book just two nights at other times or in other properties, please do get in touch — we’re always happy to help where we can.

  • We are happy to host celebrations and get togethers for large groups at Redford, we can accommodate up to 30 people across the 3 properties. Please get in touch with us directly.
